The CLI (the text client) running under Win 95,98,NT,2k or XP is much faster than the GUI version, even if optimised the CLi is still about 25% faster
The GUI, however, has a major advantage in convinience, you just set it and forget it. If you do decide to use the CLI, make sure you check out SetiWatch and SetiLog. These two excellent utilities allow you to see and log the progess of your CLI and GUI clients, as well as launch the CLI in stealth mode (i.e. it's invisible except for task manager).SETIHide is also an excellent addon with WU caching,WU times logging within & a hiding option.
